Guided Tours during the event in Rome May 1 and May 2
During our event in Rome, enjoy one (or both!) of our two guided tours proposed for Sunday and Morning.
Sunday May 1: SPANISH STEP, TREVI FOUNTAIN AND SURROUNDING
A two-hours walk tour will start from Piazza di Spagna at 14.00, to return to the starting point at 16.00. During the visit , the English-speaking guide will lead the group on a tour to visit the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and other characteristic and unmissable places in the heart of the eternal city. Monday May 2: VATICAN MUSEUMS AND SISTINE CHAPEL
From 9.00 to 13.00 , a professional tour guide will lead you to discover the masterpieces of the Vatican museums, including the famous Sistine Chapel. For this tour, there is a maximum number of 30 participants. The visit takes place in English. (Event Ticket n.11)
Photographic Tours before and after the Rome event (April 27-30 / May 4-7)
In addition, we have also organized two amazing photographic tours of 3 and a half days in Italy, one in Sorrento/Amalfi Coast , from 27 to 30 April, and another one in Val D’Orcia (Tuscany) from 4 to 7 May. Attention!

SORRENTO/AMALFI COAST PROGRAM – APRIL 27-30
As you begin your journey to the World Photographic Cup events, why not arrive early for an amazing social tour to one of the most beautiful places in the world, Italy’s famous Amalfi Coast! Spend three and a half days touring, dining, drinking and taking in this breathtaking area. We will travel from Rome to our Sorrento three-star hotel which will be our base for three nights. Led by Master Photographers and seasoned Italy travelers, Bert & Cindy Behnke, there will be exciting sights to see that you can stop to photograph or just take in the views. Your trip includes transportation from Rome to our hotel in Sorrento, three nights lodging with breakfast included, an authentic cooking class with wine, and a full day tour on the Amalfi Coast, with stops in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. And add to that, an optional boat tour to Capri, where you can wander, shop, tour the Blue Grotto or whatever you feel like doing. Or take that day for a trip to Pompei or to explore Sorrento or Hercolaneum on your own. End that day back in Sorrento for a group dinner to relax and share your stories of three unbelievable days on the Amalfi Coast! Want to do some portrait photography on the trip? Bert and Cindy can arrange some local photo sessions around Sorrento if you like. An evening and a sunrise session can be arranged if the group wants to join in, all optional, for all attendees. This trip is limited to 14 attendees to keep the group at a comfortable size. Wednesday, April 27 – 9:00am departure from Studio Orrizzonte in Rome. There will be snacks and beverages provided along the way. Arrive in Sorrento in the early afternoon, check into our hotel and take some time to wander Sorrento’s city center, just outside your door. Later, we will go to a local pasta cooking class where you will learn the Italian style of cooking, enjoy wine and limoncello and create our own delicious dinner. Then stroll the beautiful streets of Sorrento, or join Bert and Cindy for an evening portrait session.
Thursday, April 28 – We will be picked up at the hotel for an all-day adventure to the Amalfi Coast, stopping in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello to see the history and sights, do some shopping and find your favorite place to stop and have lunch. The bus will bring us back to our hotel where you will have the evening to yourself. The fragrance of lemons will guide you to a myriad of wonderful places to have a libation, find a great restaurant or just stare at the stars along the marina.
Friday, April 29 – This is your day to do what you want! We can arrange an optional day with a tour of the Isle of Capri, a local sightseeing tour of Sorrento, a day trip to Pompei or Herculaneum or just take the day to yourself to explore the area. That evening, we will head back to our hotel to get refreshed, then meet for a late group dinner at a local favorite restaurant.
Saturday, April 30 – Sleep in or join the Behnkes for a sunrise photo shoot, the choice is yours! Take the last morning to visit your favorite shops, grab an espresso or cappuccino and get ready to head back to Rome. The coach will pick us up around 11:00 and bring us back to Studio Orizzonte. Check into your Rome hotel and get ready for the Italian, FEP and WPC events to come, the trip to the Amalfi Coast will get you ready for the rest of this once in a lifetime experience!

Friday, May 6 – Tuscany landscape photography. Bus tour to Montalcino, Sant Antimo Monastery and to Giardino di Daniel Spoerri in Seggiano. Local wineyard Bagnaia visit with wine tasting near San Quirico d’Orcia. Group dinner in San Quirico d’Orcia. Accomodation in Agriturismo il Casato MAG in Pienza.
Saturday, May 7 – Morning mist and sunrise close to Pienza. 12:00 departure back to Rome. Attendees can plan afternoon flights or on their own in Rome.
The schedule can be modified according to weather changes. In case of bad weather we can go to Sienna (Cathedral, Museums, City), San Gimignano or Arezzo.
