World Photographic Cup Updates Status for 2020 Awards Presentation

ROME – The World Photographic Cup remains committed to its mission of promoting the cause of professional photography worldwide and uniting photographers in a spirit of unity and friendly competition. While current world events surrounding the spread of COVID-19 have made that mission more difficult, the WPC governing committee remains focused on creating the best possible experience for participants in the 2020 WPC Awards Ceremony.

We recognize that there are many who would like more specific details about the planned ceremony announced for September 28th in Rome, Italy. Nevertheless, it continues to be our deepest hope that the ceremony will continue as planned. In order to give all attendees ample time to arrange their travel, the WPC governing committee has set a date of July 1, 2020 to issue a final statement regarding plans for the September event. If alternate plans need to be considered, we will announce those plans at that time.

In the meantime, it is our sincere wish that all of our competitors are safe and taking adequate measures to protect themselves and their loved ones. Like all of you, we look forward to the day we can gather together again as a world photographic community to celebrate this industry we hold dear.

Most sincerely,

The World Photographic Cup Governing Committee
